Fleming Psychology strongly supports equitable access to mental health treatment, and offers a sliding scale to fees based on each client’s gross income.
The Australian Psychology Society recommends a fee of $251 per session.
For greater access to treatment, we have reduced our standard fee to $200 per 50 minute consultation. Further discounts are applied to low income earners and pension/healthcare card holders. Bulkbilling is available for our Group Therapy Program.
Medicare offers clinical psychology rebates of $124.50 for up to 10 sessions per calendar year if you are referred by your GP under a Mental Health Care Plan (see resources section for further information on the Mental Health Care Plan). This means for eligible and full fee paying clients, they are left with a gap of up to $75.50 per session whilst they are using their Medicare rebate. Private Health Insurance rebates may also be available to you with each fund and level of cover offering different rebates.
Formal assessments and report costs incur additional costs. If you require formal assessment or report, please discuss this with the admin team or at your appointment with the psychologist.
Insurance clients (Workers Compensation / Motor Vehicle Accident claims) have a different set of fees based on Insurance recommendations.
The number of sessions you will require depends on the reason you are attending, however after your first consultation your psychologist will discuss with you approximate treatment length for your concerns and your goals.
